I'll be the first to admit that we haven't been the best about letting Addison and Fischer use spoons. I always have plans to let them try eating on their own, but then I forget until well after the meal is over. So, the spoon-using has been very inconsistent.  Last week, however, I finally remembered to let them do this several times. I gave them each a bowl of yogurt, a spoon and let them work their magic. It was pretty funny.

The yogurt eating was a little slow at first...

Then, they got the hang of it and actually ate a good amount on their own...

Then, they decided spoons were slowing them down, and used their hands...

And finally, it was all gone... Addison just wanted to be extra sure she didn't leave any in her bowl...

  1. That looks just like it does when we give spoons to ours! They're fascinated for a little while, then in go the hands! It's messy, but it will be so worth it when they can feed themselves all of the time!
