Komarnicki Kids

With the kids in school Monday, Wednesday, Friday... Karate on Tuesdays and sometimes another day and then Dance on Thursdays, our weeks are staying pretty busy. But, I sort of like it that way. Even when I get stressed, it's nice to have a reason to get out of the house.

Addison and Fischer are doing so well in school this year. It was 100% the right choice to put them in separate classes. I'm so glad their teacher from last year and the director nudged us in that direction. Addison's teacher is always saying how well-mannered she is, and what a great attention span she has. I think that's really coming out this year because she isn't always worried about Fischer and what he's doing. When he's around, she wants to take care of him. And he seems to be a bit "tamer" in school this year. We aren't getting the reports about pushing like we were last year. And, I think if/when he does play rough, it's with the other boys that are very similar to him. So, it's working out so well.

They are playing better together at home too. Over the summer, things were getting pretty tense around here. They weren't playing well at all together. I think we were all sick of each other, especially when we were stuck inside because of the heat. So, the time apart has been great.

They have both gone to each other's activity now... Fischer has only been to dance once, but Addison has been to karate several times. They do a pretty good job of waiting and watching each other! I'm liking that they both have their own "thing" that they can excel at! So far they are each enjoying their activity a lot! Fischer asks to go to karate more than once a week a lot of the times. Some weeks we can make it happen and some we can't, but I'm so glad that he loves going.

They are becoming more independent by the day, and I just can't believe how fast time is going! It's weird how the days can seem so long but the overall time goes so fast.
